Proper On-Site Wastewater Management is crucial
for human health and the environment.
Where do I start?
The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is the managing body overseeing On-Site Wastewater Management Systems. To determine which on-site wastewater management system is right for your property, the first step is to start with the DEQ or consult with a knowledgable, experienced installer.

The process begins with having a soil test performed on your property. This test identifies the characteristics of your soil - the "percolation" or water absorption rate of your soil.

The size of your property and/or number of bedrooms in your home also determine the proper system needed. Hiring a knowledgeable and experienced installer will help you ensure your system meets the DEQ requirements and best serves your wastewater management demands.

Does your existing system need pumped? This is recommended every 3-5 years.
